FREE WEEK OF SWIMMING 1/2/12 to 1/5/12

Woodbury Aquatics will be hosting a free week of swimming at the Woodbury Competition Pool 3:30pm to 4:30pm for the beginner group and 4:30pm to 6pm for the intermediate group. January 2, 2012 to January 5, 2012. Our new session will begin January 9, 2012!!!

Woodbury Winter/Spring Session 2012

Winter Session 2011

Woodbury Aquatics Swim Program will be starting it's winter session on Monday October 24, 2011-December 15, 2011.

Beginners (limited swim experience)
3:30pm-4:30pm

Intermediate/Advanced
4:30pm-6pm

Adult/Masters Swimmers are welcome to join the 4:30pm-6pm class!

All Swimmers must fill out Waiver Form and Registration Form and turn in before training.

Swimmers will also be asked for mailing address, non-residents are not permitted to join. This is a community swim team. For those who have been grand fathered in please contact coach Ed Carrera @ ed3carrera@gmail.com.

Please note: This is not a learn to swim program. Swimmers must be water safe and have a basic understanding of freestyle to be allowed to join.

Due to the number of participants we have closed registration and evaluations. We will be accepting Winter applications and beginning evaluations October 1, 2011.

Equipment for swimmers

Hi folks as we progress it will be important to get the proper tools for training. We recommend:
Fins, Paddles, Kickboard, and pull buoy. We also recommend a mesh swim bag for swimmers to bring their equipment in and leave it above their swim lane. The people at CAS will help you with sizes of equipment.

Our new summer session will begin June 13, 2011 at the Woodbury Competition Pool, Workout will begin at 6pm-7pm.

Ripples classes will be from 2pm-3pm (in 1/2 hour increments).

Woodbury Aquatics Evaluations

Tomorrow, June 6, 2011, will be evaluation day for Woodbury Aquatics, Monday at 2pm-3pm. Once we do the evaluations we will place kids in a group and begin workouts on Monday June 13, 2011. Evaluations will take 3-5 minutes. This is not part if ISL (Irvine Swim League)

Dual Meet vs Costa Mesa Aquatics

We will have a dual meet on 5/19/11 vs Costa Mesa Aquatics!

It will be at our pool, all swimmers please arrive at 4pm for warm-up. Coach Audrey's group will not change.

We will need parent volunteers to help time the event, if you have a stop watch please bring it (I have 3), we will need a total of 7. 1 per lane and a back up.

All Woodbury Aquatic members can swim all events, but it's not mandatory. Non-members can participate with a $10 fee.

As a reminder, Woodbury Aquatics is not the same as Woodbury Waves (isl team). Woodbury Aquatics is an off season swim school that operates from the end of August to the beginning of June. Signing up with Woodbury Aquatics does not guarantee or give any advantage to be on the summer Woodbury Waves team.

Ripples Class

Hi everyone,

Our new ripples class may begin Monday, May 2, 2011-June 2, 2011. If we do not get enough interest than we will not have the class and private lessons will be offered at $35 per half hour by appointment only.

They are 30 minute classes 2 days a week. Either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $150 for 2 days a week or $300 for 4 days a week. Minimum 3 kids per class no more than 5.

Class times are 3-3:30pm and 3:30-4pm.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to enroll. Saturday will be the last day to register via email.
